STATUTE OF
INTERNATIONAL SHINBUDO ASSOCIATION
ARTICLE 01: NAME, OBJECT
01. The name
of the organization shall be INTERNATIONAL SHINBUDO ASSOCIATION
(ISA).
02. ISA
shall have its official organization logo and official logo of
the International Shinbudo Games
03. ISA
shall have its official seal placed on all official documents.
Seal shall be kept and used only by the Founder/CEO of ISA.
04. The
purpose of the ISA shall be to foster, to develop and to promote
the practice and spirit of SHINBUDO, modern combat sport and
system based on Japanese tradition of jujutsu, judo, karate,
aikido, kenjutsu, iaido and sports chanbara, by means of
organizing International Shinbudo Games, national Shinbudo
Games, grading examinations, judge seminars, etc.
05. The ISA
shall be an amateur non-profit sport organization, irrespective
of neither racial, political nor religious opinions of its
members.
ARTICLE 02: GENERAL REGULATIONS
01. The ISA
is an organization which raises its own funds in order to be
self-supporting. It isn't meant to make any profits.
02. The
constitutional organs are: The Founder (or acting Central
Executive Officer, CEO) and The Advisory Board (AB). The Founder
is acting as a Central Executive Officer (CEO) until his death,
resignation or his voluntary transfer of all copyrights and
duties to the Advisory Board, which will in that case elect a
new CEO by majority of votes. The Advisory Board is consisting
of one delegate/representative from each member country,
selected and appointed by the Founder/CEO. Advisory Board meets
each year on the occasion of the International Shinbudo Games.
All voting rounds of AB will be decided upon by simple majority.
Founder/CEO has the right of veto over all decisions of AB.
03. The seat
of the ISA will be at the home of the Founder/CEO. The seat will
be known as SHINBUKAN. All correspondence will be sent to the
Founder's office, or to appointed Secretary of ISA, who
distributes copies to the other members of the AB.
04. The
official language of the Association shall be English. The
technical terms can be put in Japanese using the Hepburn Rômaji
System.
ARTICLE 03: MEMBERSHIP
01. Full
membership of the ISA shall be open to nationally recognized
organizations or groups which regularly attend International
Shinbudo Games.
02.
Applicant members shall have to agree to abide by the present
Statute and the rules of the Association.
03. Only one
(1) organization or group per country shall be recognized. If
there are two affiliation demands from the same country, or if
there is a new application opposing an existing Member Country,
the decision will be taken according to the following standards:
a. Attendance on International Shinbudo Games
b. Number of practicing members
c. Organization of National Shinbudo Games and similar events
d. Good name and reputation on national and international level
04. If a
representative of ISA ("Member country") is not attending
International Shinbudo games or is not abiding by the rules of
ISA (promotes unsafe sport rules, abuses the name of the
association, accepts grade promotions from dubious
organizations, etc.), member country shall be expelled or
suspended from ISA. The expelled or suspended Member Country
shall cease to be entitled to the rights and privileges of the
ISA. All Grades of practitioners of that Member Country will be
removed from the ISA Grading Register and will no longer be
recognized, unless registered with another or a new member
organization accepted by ISA. Expulsion is permanent
ARTICLE 04: SUBSCRIPTIONS
01. There
shall be NO annual subscription fee for member countries.
02. There
shall be NO Grading fees
03. Host of
the International Shinbudo Games chosen by the Founder/CEO and
the AB will have the right to charge reasonable participation &
accommodation fee from international participants, value
approved by the Founder/CEO and the AB.
04. National
representatives will have their own policies of subscriptions
for their members and will abide by the laws of their countries,
without any responsibilities of ISA for their financial
activities.
ARTICLE 05: GRADINGS AND TITLES
01. All
national organizations or groups registered by ISA shall be free
to conduct grade exams according to their own rank
requirements.
02. During
ISA events all
national grades/titles shall be replaced with appropriate ISA
titles of SEMPAI, SENSEI and SHIHAN
03. ISA will
define precise rules and guidelines for using one of the
aforementioned titles.
ARTICLE 06:
EXAMS FOR JUDGES/REFEREES
01.
ISA will conduct practical exams for licenses of international
judges/referees in Sport Jujutsu and Sport Kenjutsu during
International Shinbudo Games. Examiners shall be appointed by the
Founder/CEO and Advisory Board.
02.
Following licenses shall be given in ISA:
a.
International Judge ("Central referee") in Mix Kumite
b.
International Judge ("Central referee") in Sport Kenjutsu
c.
International Judge in Jujutsu Kata
03. During
national Shinbudo Games each Member Country is free to issue
national licenses for judges/referees.
04. All
national judges/referees will be allowed to assist during
Shinbudo Games as Side Referees.
ARTICLE 07: CHANGING THE STATUTES and DISSOLUTION
The
dissolution of the International Shinbudo Association and
changing of Statute are only possible if the Founder/CEO decides
so, as the owner of the copyright, or, if the Founder/CEO has
transferred his copyright to the Advisory Board, and the
Advisory Board votes with two thirds majority of all present
representatives
